Starting with an electronic drum kit at age 6, he quickly grew an intense passion for electronic music. At age 11, he picked up his dad’s Saxophone for a couple of years but ended up getting discouraged by his music teacher at the time. Then at the age of 13, he first heard the music of Download & Shpongle - 2 bands that would have an immense impact on his soul. At 15, he had established himself as a DJ - spinning at several parties, lounges, & night clubs throughout the Chicago-land area. At 19, he started buying more sound equipment / instruments; mainly computers & synthesizers. Since then he has strived for diversity & has created a wide variety of music that reflects this world inside/out, physically & spiritually. His knowledge of electronic music composition & technique is self-taught. Xochipillinavi Studios (founded in September of 2001) is where he summons the sounds of Shamanavi & his various projects. Shamanavi's first album "The World As Eye See It" will be released worldwide on April 20, 2010 & his second album "Everyone Is God" will be available by mid 2010.
